DONALD TRUMP (Social media)
World News: There is no doubt that Donald Trump’s age is advancing, and with age often come health issues. The White House has confirmed that Trump is suffering from a vein-related condition that is causing swelling in his legs.
On Thursday, the White House stated that President Donald Trump has swelling in the lower parts of his legs and visible bruises on his right hand. These revelations came after images showed puffiness around Trump’s ankles and what appeared to be makeup covering parts of his hand.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt read out a letter from Trump’s physician during a press briefing, clarifying that both conditions are routine. She told reporters that the swelling in Trump’s legs is due to a common venous disorder, while the bruising on his hand likely resulted from repeated handshakes.
This disclosure puts an end to widespread online speculation that the 79-year-old Trump might be battling a serious illness based on recent photographs.
Following Leavitt’s briefing, the White House released a letter from Trump’s physician, U.S. Navy officer Dr. Sean Barbella. The letter confirmed that Trump underwent several tests for his symptoms. Dr. Barbella stated that an ultrasound of the President’s legs revealed chronic venous insufficiency—a common condition among people over 70. He further mentioned that additional testing showed no signs of cardiac arrest, kidney failure, or any other systemic disease.
Leavitt emphasized that Trump is not experiencing any major discomfort due to the condition. Dr. Barbella’s letter also noted bruising on the back of Trump’s right hand but confirmed there is no evidence of deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease. Despite his age and visible symptoms, Trump's medical team has assured the public that there is no cause for alarm. The issues are manageable and not indicative of any serious health crisis.
